Vital Earth takes UK green garden waste and re-cycles it into a compost, which is not only peat-free and organic but great for seeds, plants and vegetables.
The £10m site at Ashbourne is the largest most advanced in-vessel composting site in the UK and demonstrates Vital Earth’s commitment to producing exceptional quality peat-free and chemical free growing media.
99,000 tonnes of garden green waste is collected from over 300,000 homes throughout the Midlands over a 12 month period. The result is 400,000m3 of wonderful peat free compost is produced from that green waste.
