As the yarn is the most important part of the carpet, we insist on spinning and dyeing it ourselves in Buckfast, Devon. Today Buckfast Spinnning Company is one of the finest spinning mills in Europe and supplies all the yarn for Axminster Carpets using 90% British wool

We are the only UK carpet manufacturer to handle all aspects of yarn producti on in house, hence the term ‘Homespun Yarn’. The finest yarn produces the finest carpets.
